Irritated Serial Kisser: Im okay with sexual content

Irritated Serial Kisser: I`m okay with sexual contentEmraan Hashmi rose to fame not only through his acting but also his lip lock scenes with almost every actress opposite him in his film - the reason why he was tagged as the serial kisser.

However, the actor is now irritated with the tag.

"I don't have any problem with sexual content films because of which this name has been coined. But this name is very irritating.

If this name is changed, I will do these films throughout my life. I would rather have the name serial killer than serial kisser," Emraan told reporters here.

The 32-year-old actor has locked lips in films like "Murder", "Zeher", "Aksar", "Gangster" and "Crook" among others.

Funny goof up on 'Murder 2' sets

Pack-up is the word actors want to hear after shooting for long hours. During a short break while shooting for Murder 2, director Mohit Suri said, "Jimmy pack up." (Jimmy is a particular kind of camera).

Emraan Hashmi misheard it as: "Emi pack up'. So without wasting a second he left in his car.

When the actor was needed for the next shot, it was way over half an hour and Emi was nearly home! The two couldn't stop laughing when they realised the goof up.

Is Minnishas hot nurse look inspired from Hollywood?

Is Minnisha`s hot nurse look inspired from Hollywood?Minnisha Lamba's nurse look in the promotional video of Bheja Fry 2 has been inspired by Darryl Hannah's look in Kill Bill Vol 1.

The actress felt that styling on similar lines was just apt. But Minissha had a tough time finding a nurse's cap similar to one Darryl has donned in the film.

The head cap worn by Darryl is a style statement.

It was very fashionable and different compared to the caps worn by Indian nurses.

With difficulty Minissha found a cap that was similar to the Kill Bill star.

Ekta Kapoor inspires Minissha Lamba

Minissha Lamba, who plays a reality TV show producer in "Bheja Fry 2", says she took inspiration from Ekta Kapoor to prepare for her character and dedicates it to the TV tsarina.

"I was inspired by Ekta, I thought of her when I was conceptualising this character because everybody knows the success story but the hard work that one puts in is unknown," Minissha told reporters here Tuesday.

"Sometimes it happens that you are just a few steps away from success but you fail. You come with a value system but end up compromising. It is like you are being tested all the time. I really took inspiration from that phase. So I wanted to dedicate this character to a woman who revolutionised the television industry, in fact, she has made the television industry in India," she added.

The actress was here to promote "Bheja Fry 2" which releases Friday and was accompanied by her co-star Vinay Pathak.

Although she would be a reality show producer in the film, the actress said she wouldn't mind being a part of one. "I wouldn't mind being a part of a reality show but it should be appealing," she said.

Vidya was stunned to see Madras in Mumbai!

Vidya was stunned to see Madras in Mumbai! For 'Dirty Pictures', Chennai of the '80s has been recreated in Film City

Recreating bygone decades seems to have become Milan Luthria's forte. In his last film Once Upon a Time In Mumbaai, he transported the audience to the Bombay of the '80s.

In his next, Dirty Pictures, he has recreated Chennai of the '80s in Film City. DP is based on the life of southern sensation Silk Smitha and stars Vidya Balan, Nasseruddin Shah and Tusshar Kapoor.

The director informs, "Right now, we are in full Chennai mode. Wherever we look, we see people dressed in lungis. Tamil posters adorn our walls. We start our day by having idlis to get into the mode."

Throwing light on the kind of R&D that went, he adds, "The production designer, the art team and one of my assistants did an extensive tour of Chennai, Mysore, Pondicherry, Ooty and Hyderabad for two months.

They came back with 2,000 photographs.

These are the places that reflect the flavour we are trying to replicate. We bought books and watched Hindi and Tamil films shot in the '80s. We put all that together and made a colour palette for the film."

He further adds, "It's not possible to shoot a film like this on real location because a lot has changed geographically. You will find new hoardings, building exteriors; malls and multiplexes have come up."

The sets have huge cut-outs of Naseer, who plays a Tamil movie star. "We created two cafes and a sari centre.

We had to paint old taxis and auto rickshaws. We had to change all the number plates. It was Madras then, not even Chennai," he adds.

Having done a period film like Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai was he better equipped this time around? "Yes, unlike last time, we were prepared better for this. We did pre-production of seven months. The team is fairly experienced now having done one film."

Milan is happy about the feedback he has received. "When Vidya walked on to sets, she was zapped. She didn't feel that she was in Mumbai. Even a couple of producers who dropped in were stunned."

Why Asin calls herself a lucky girl?

Why Asin calls herself a lucky girl?Southern beauty Asin Thottumkal, who stepped into Bollywood three years back and has already worked with bigwigs like Aamir Khan and Salman Khan, says that she finds herself lucky to have got such opportunities.

"I do find myself lucky because in the film industry there are a lot of factors that probably result in success.

You need talent and discipline but somewhere you need to have that X factor also. What that X factor is, whether that's luck, or god's grace or the wishes of all the people around you, that is open to interpretation.

"But I think that that one factor that helps is definitely with me otherwise I wouldn't have got all these opportunities to work with these bigwigs of the industry," Asin told.

The 25-year-old has worked with Aamir in "Ghajini" and with Salman in two films - "London Dreams" and "Ready". She is now geared up to work opposite Akshay Kumar in "Houseful 2".

Bee Gees singer Robin Gibb praises Javed Akhtar

Bee Gees singer Robin Gibb praises Javed AkhtarJaved Akhtar's efforts to secure rights for songwriters, composers and authors in India was commended by Bee Gees singer Robin Gibb ?

Javed Akhtar's fight for lyricists' royalty has now taken an international turn. The writer and social activist addressed the World Copyright Summit (WCS) in Brussels last week. He spoke about how the author's rights are neglected in India.

Legendary singer Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees group (that embodied the disco era of the '70s) is the president of the Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers and chairperson of the summit. He commended Akhtar in his battle to give creators their rights.

Big steps

Gibbs stated at the event, "I have witnessed with great pleasure that India has taken major steps forward towards the recognition of authors' rights. And I salute Javed Akhtar, who is here in the audience, and who has led the fight for this recognition."

While Javed refrained from commenting, a source from the WCS said, "Javed was interviewed by fellow composer Simon Darlow who is a board member of the Performing Right Society For Music (the UK branch of the World Copyright Organisation) about his career in India.

He was also asked about the potential amendments to copyright law, which will see royalties flow back to songwriters, composers and authors.

Akhtar has taken it upon himself to launch the fight for authors in India and has faced a lot of opposition. He accused the Indian Performing Rights Society (IPRS) of using the rights of authors and composers for the benefit of studios, cinemas and producers.

Starting point

Invited by the WCS to tell his story, Javed proclaimed at the event, "My troubles started when I applied for a position as a member of the board of the IPRS.

I understood that it was urgent to convince the government to amend the law so that they protect the authors. Today, we are about to reach our dream. The law will be passed in the coming months."

Javed's interview was well received. Guy Fletcher, chairman of PRS For Music said, "Javed enabled us to better understand the injustices Indian creators have been suffering."

Esha drags him to the gym and makes him work out. She wants him to build on his muscles while Abhay thinks the body is not quite the acting tool that he would like to use. They’reconstantly arguing over his laidback attitude to physical fitness. ”

When asked Esha was candid about her closeness to Abhay. “We’ve always been very close from our school days. I guess because now we’re grown up and known names people want to know about us. ”

We stay two minutes away from one another. So as and when we want to chill together we meet up. But we keep in touch constantly. ”

John to join Sajids Housefull 2 team in London later

John to join Sajid`s `Housefull 2` team in London laterBy Subhash K Jha

The Housefull team left for London last week but without John Abraham. He will join the Housefull 2 gang a week later.

Apparently Sajid had earlier planned to hire a private jet to take the whole Housefull 2 crew to England from Mumbai. But now with various members opting for scattered travel, Sajid has no options but to cancel the jet plans.

Sajid who is in the middle of implementing this daredevilish co-ordinating stunt hardly has time to pause to talk about his problem.

“Kya Karen? These are all busy stars. We can’t have them over in London and then have them sitting idle waiting for actors with whom they are to do combination shots.

And losing precious shooting dates in London means losing out on permission to shoot in places like Leicester Square where getting permission again is impossible. It’s a very tricky situation. And it’s the biggest challenge I’ve faced in my career as a producer. ”

Getting the stars’s dates synchronized is an an ordeal for Nadiadwala. “We are trying to accommodate the actors in different groups in the shooting schedule so that no one has to sit idle. Let’s see how we do it. ”

Guess who was going to play the wild and extreme KC is Bijoy Nambiar's Shaitan? Ranveer Singh!

However, the Band Baaja Baraat actor opted out due to the boldness of the character and only then did Gulshan Devaiah stepped in.

A well-placed source in the film crew reveals, "Ranveer was like any other struggling actor at that time. He hadn't signed BBB then.

He was one of the first guys auditioned and selected for the role. Bejoy immediately decided to cast him. He loved the energy and spontaneity RS brought in front of the camera."

Can't do it

However, a sexually explicit scene made him change his mind. "Ranveer loved the part and agreed to do it.

However, he chickened out later on as his character was supposed to be introduced in the movie in a sexually explicit scene. The actor told Nambiar he wouldn't be comfortable debuting with such a bold scene.

His family also had their reservations against the role, " the source adds. The scene was later changed and the film's salaciousness was toned down a bit.

The source further adds, "Though it was a risky call but I am glad that Ranveer took it because it worked in his favour.

Everyone has his or her own dos and don'ts. Ranveer comes from a conservative family. Moreover, he wanted to do a solo hero film. He then waited for the right film to come his way and made a great start with BBB."

Not A Love Story: Mahies photo shoot stopped!

Not A Love Story: Mahie`s photo shoot stopped!A photography session of RGV's film based on Maria Susairaj was abruptly stopped

The society members of Dheeraj Solitaire Building in Malad disrupted the photo shoot of Ram Gopal Varma's Not A Love Story (starring Mahie Gill, Deepak Dobriyal and Ajay Gehi) at one of their flats on Saturday.

For those who don't know, this is the same building where Maria Susairaj (on whose life the film is based) lived and allegedly murdered Neeraj Grover in 2008.

Apparently, the entire cast and crew of the film was asked to leave the venue in the middle of their shoot by the building members.

A source from the building informs, "The building authorities allowed RGV to shoot the entire movie at one of the flats in the building, but strangely, stopped the crew to do a photo shoot for four hours on Saturday."

Subhash Dhankar, Maria's broker, who also helped the crew get the permission to use the building premises, divulges the reason for the society's strange behavior.

"Yes, the society created an issue over the photo shoot. It was a four-hour shoot. We had done the set up. The entire cast including Mahie, Deepak and Ajay, the photographer and the makeup artists were present."

It is all about money

"The society authorities barged in and told us to leave the premises immediately. I tried to make them understand, but they weren't willing to budge.

They wanted more money from the producer. The entire day got wasted. They couldn't even postpone the shoot because Mahie's relative is unwell and she couldn't be there the next day.

A studio was immediately booked and the shoot was completed, " he further added

Remorseless Maria

Interestingly, Subhash, who does a cameo as a police inspector in the film, had met Maria just after she committed the crime and also, got her house painted again.

"I met Maria after she had killed Neeraj and wasn't yet caught. When I later found out that she has done the crime I was amazed to see that there was no sign of fear or remorse on her face."
