Akshay Kumar is miffed. TOI has discovered from highly-placed industry sources that the associations between Akki and the channel for which he did two seasons of the action reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi (KKK), are strained. Akshay did not do the 3rd season and moved on to another channel to host a show on his culinary skills. Apparently, the recent bad reports on this new show have angry him. Akshay feels that somebody is planting these reports and striving to destroy the show even before it takes off. An industry informer close to Akki discloses, “Though he cannot truly identify who is behind this, Akshay needs to get to the base of it. Sometime back a report said that Rohit Roy had substituted Akshay in the cooking show after which Rohit apologised to Akki and refused he had made this claim. Then there were stories that Akshay hardly has any screen time in the new show and, worse, that he has been defeated by Priyanka in terms of TRPs for KKK.
Akki believes that somebody might be using the situation of him not working with one channel and putting out damaging stories as the whole interest would practically go on the channel. So it just could be somebody attempting to make a rift. ”
